ResponsibilitiesAs Engineering Manager of JMP Automation, I wear many hats. My responsibilities include building and shaping our talented Engineering Group while tackling technical challenges on the front lines of all of our projects. I support JMP’s Application Group to ensure that future projects leverage all of our collective experience in order to create an extraordinary customer experience. Additionally, I serve as Project Manager on strategic projects and strive to continuously improve JMP’s processes, standards, and culture.
BackgroundI learned at a young age how valuable teamwork, creativity, and proactivity would be to my success. As a Lego kid, avid hockey player, car buff, and a hands-on problem solver, I knew at the age of 13 that my dream job was in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
While attending Western University in London, ON, I seized the opportunity to participate in a combined total of 20 months of co-op and internship in the automotive and steel industries. My greatest learning opportunity was taking part and co-leading the Western Formula SAE Racing Team which involved designing, manufacturing, and testing open wheel formula style racecars for international competitions.
After graduating, I joined JMP Engineering in 2008, focusing on mechanical design and management of mechanical project scope. I am proud of the thousands of clever automation system designs and successful projects that I have contributed over my years with JMP. I enjoy working and building our talented team while managing exciting large projects in a variety of industries.
